Nothing wrong with the original ones. Mine saw 9k for short bursts. Now got the MED ones.

lots of ones with fake parts fitted.

I have used them and know others also who fitted without any problems or complaint. The ones I ordered required teflon buttons - I was okay with that.  Compared to some higher priced H beam aftermarket rods- these are heavier - I haven't got details  but IIRC something like 50 -100 gms .  They measured up fine - so it seems they have some quality control .The ARP bolts were a v good spec -  and all I can say is they didn't let go.  Mine lived in a second motor for a race car for a while. In a road car they would be fine.  Make sure you get the right size journal to match your build. cheers

I have them in both my forced induction minis. They got a lot of bad press for failing, when infact it was the bolts that failed. They've since added genuine ARP bolts to their kits. They weigh less than A+ rods too.

Just be careful you have pistons that work with them. As has been mentioned in passing Teflon button or even C clips to hold the Gudgeon pin (piston pin) in place. The originals were an interference fit to the rods. while these rods are floating. Not sure about those swift tune piston you were looking at.

Thanks for your opinions, Steve and Nick. I'm still not sure if it's a good purchase.
In favor:
-They are fantastically priced compared to MED and Swiftune.
- They are lighter than the originals.
Against:
- I'm afraid of bending or one may break.
Imagine the disaster.

They are rubbish. I've now seen a few fail.

What's wrong with your original rods ?

Because it's a link to a rival forum, that's probably not allowed?
