A+ Conrod Bolts - Out Of Stock Everywhere?

There's these, but I don't know what they are;-

those look like A series bolts. mine is an A+

 

 

They are 100% interchangeable.

 

Out of curiosity, on an A+ engine, would you use the locktab with those ? 2A659 is available from many suppliers - equivalent of 12G2217  ???

 

 

The trouble with all the A type Bolts I've seen in recent years is they aren't genuine and goodness knows what grade they are or where they come from.

that does rather suggest using the old bolts again would be favorite, provided they aren't damaged.

Nobody has mentioned this but I was at the machine shop this week and he showed me that the ARP rod bolts have a shorter threaded area than the stock bolts requiring use of ARP washers.

Question: whats the correct torque for ARP bolts? 55 lbft? with the ARP lube right?

The arp bolts come with instructions with the torque setting. Ideally they’d be set with a stretch gauge, but they aren’t something you buy for assembling one engine
