Manual or automatic?

should be the question people are asking.

Apologies, it is a manual gearbox.

Would the recommended oil change with the engine capacity for a 1430cc engine?

Have you actually done any research or any searching of this forum? it's a question that's never been asked.

Yes, it hasn't been asked for a while and as mentioned oil tech may have moved on.

I see that no one mentions or recommends Millers classic anymore. With the fame it had in the past... To me in particular, after a year, the Classic sold by Mini Spares seems like a regular oil. While it is new and in the first few months, it is not bad. Now with 11 months of use, I notice that it does not have the viscosity of the beginning and some gears are a little scratchy. Of all the oils I used, VR1 and Comma seem the best to me.

I've heard some worrying things about Millers to do with their fully synthetic oil too.

I was considering Millers instead of spending a small fortune on Motul 300v for a BMW engine.

VR1 for the Mini it is then after i've used my other can of Minispares own.

I've never used Millers synthetic in a classic Mini. I'm referring to 20w-50 mineral.

The Millers that is/was popular (and apparently developed for the Mini) is CTV and is a semi-synthetic.

Millers Pistoneze range is mineral, but I've never seen that reviewed and I suspect isn't as developed, just marketed in a fancy tin in Halfords and the like.

I use Millers CVT.  Seems to work nicely and it's nice to support a company from England.
