This is still on my to do list to get done but the house list keeps getting in the way.
I got a Daihatsu Cuore L7 brake light a while ago (actually have 2 as I didn't expect to win the other one when I bid on it! haha) as i think this looks closest to a stock light and is big enough to be very visible but won't be dazzling.

I bought mine on Amazon.

There are lots of similar ones from different sellers but I think they are all pretty much the same. the metal bracket is a piece of junk meant to mount on a bumper, I threw it away. I mounted it on a piece of 1/2 inch plywood using 2 L brackets and painted it black. It is really close to the window and doesn't leak light around the edges. It is quite bright, it has 3 wires red, yellow and black. Black is -ve red to =ve gives a constant light and yellow to =ve gives a flashing light.
Here are some pics

Just seen this sorry, yeah, will dig the spare one out. I paid £50 for it so if you're happy with that plus postage let me know either way.
Unless you wanted to collect from Horsham at some point down the line

Thanks, I've bought one of these now.
You may want to try that before fitting it - It is not shrouded and therefore suspect the glare on the rear screen will mean you cannot see anything when braking at night.

I wanted something that would suit my '68 car. Not too bothered about night time driving as it does not do too much. More concerned about Range Rovers that sit up my Ar$e and then screech to a stop as they had not seen me stopping.

I’m actually working on a new version for my Mk1, as that was on my 1990, which I sold to Miles200.
I will post when it’s done!

Been looking at these. Have you installed it yet? Does it need sitting on a plinth or something to elevate it? Daz.

They look awesome. Are they from a scooter or motorbike maybe? I like the character of them. A bit quirky.I finally got round to fitting the high level brake lights into the MK1, I've got a bit of weirdness going on with the electrics but everything seems to work OK, pretty happy really.

I bought them off ebay, I think they are listed as universal chopper, I picked them simply as they looked pretty period really. I turned up the pedestals, bored some m8 bolts through to hide the wiring and used the existing speaker bolt holes.

Are there any rules as to where two extra lights are placed in the back window Shooter? Yours are central, but could you have one in each corner? Daz.
