You can see at the back of the flute somedistortion there which was caused by the pressing process. I did give it a little tickle but to be honest by the time it was covered in stonechip and paint its barely noticeable. So unless you are going full on show level bare painted floor then dont get to fretful about it

Worst case scenario you can skim it with some filler.

Once stone chipped and painted, yes you can see the odd ripple but not that fussed.

Although that looks bad, once its clamped with the tunnel i'm sure that will sort itself out.

Use plenty of intergrips if you are going to butt weld and that will clamp down.

I bought full half floors, in hindsight and If I did the job again I would buy a complete floor.
I was new to welding, it took a long time, `I then needed to patch in the tunnel in places.

Your heel board probably needs work between panels.

Full floor is expensive but will save many hours of work.

Good luck

Okay, thanks for the comments. I will tack them togehter and see what happens. A new heel board will arrive maybe next week.

It looks like this now, it is a very loose test fit
