Many or you will be familiar with my 1983 Mini called Marvin (https://www.ukminis....oad-mini-marvin) and he has sealed rear windows.

Is it possible to all the hinged rear windows?

How easier/difficult a job is it?

I used the search facility to return no matches so I'm surprised that this hasn't been asked before.

it has been asked loads of times, it's just the search is next to useless

Not too hard to do. Just take your time and having an assistant helps

Remove old window and seal - easiest option here is to run a Stanley blade around the outer seal then you can pop out the glass, and remove the remainder of the seal.

New opening type seal put in place, then offer in new window, hinge slides over the pinch weld part of the seal - silicone spray helps ease it on.

Some masking tape to allow to mark location for hole.

On C post, mask up C-post trim, roughly where hinge will need to be, again just for easy marking.

Have someone to push the window fully closed, ensuring the gaps look even. Mark the holes for the locking mechanism.

Remove window and seal, drill your holes for the fixing screws, just be careful not to drill too far on the C post that it marks the outer panel.

Rust inhibitor or zinc spray on a cotton buds is the easiest way to protect the holes.

Then it's just a matter of putting the seal back in, offering up the window and screwing it in place.
