Thats a great idea. I'd imagine less noise through a large hole as opposed to 6 smaller ones
I wouldn't think there'd be much difference (though, in theory, many smaller holes admit less of the lower frequencies through them than one big hole... but the effect is as near nothing as makes no difference in this situation.) Since we have very similar setups, it seems a mystery that you're getting a lot of intake noise. Though, of course, we may have different ears. Mine are really quite old
