pipe work asin fuel? or water?

if its water ive done a diagram which might help mate



edit. ps. use the original plastic pipe on the back of the engine, if u need one i think ive got one knocking around

Cheers for that Alex, I was on about fuelling, but I still need to sort the water plumbing out too.

One question on the plastic pipe at the back, doesn't the expansion tank outlet on that pipe foul your top gearbox mount rubber? I know mine does and there's no way it can sit in the proper position.

it needs to sit at a kinda 5 degree angle, doesnt need to be secured atall, just run it inline

Yeah, gotta run to Tweeks tomorrow anorl. Need to sort out fuel line fittings. They look like JIC jobs, but seem to have a steeper taper. Was gonna go aeroquip stylee, but may just go to a scrappy and rip off some STD Vauxhall jobs. Just want to get the fecker running ASAP and get her on a track!

My Mini has an engine in it

with a head on it

and an exhaust manifold

and a timing belt

and the front end's been trimmed to fit it all under, so can be primed and properly fitted

and and and, I've got to spend a LOT of moolar now on hoses, reducer hoses, fuel line fittings, roll cage padding, seats..............

I reckon I'll have it on the road by mid-October if I'm honest. If I really push and pay for things on credit cards, I'll get it done within a week, maybe a week and a half, but I CBA to do that now I haven't got a definite deadline. No point getting any more in debt!

Nah, the supply has got a M16 x 1.5 male thread, with a 60 degree female taper, the return has got a M14 x 1.5 male thread, with a 60 degree female taper.

Tweeks aint got anything to fit, the VX ones (new) come as a complete line from the tank, metal pipes fitted with a crimped rubber end, with a female threaded fitting at the top. Need to get to a scrappy and chop some off. Just aint had the time this weekend. Booo.

Aye, when I eventually sort out the pipe work that I need.

Wallet is suffering and work pressure is stoopid. Not a good combination for getting FRK finished to be honest.

Poops. Another trip to Tweeks on Saturday for the water hoses and I'll be nearly there I reckon.

Yeah, not looked into the IVA stuff ploply, yet.

As for progress, there's not really been that much.

Made up the stainless link pipes for the water hoses, have ordered some more bits from CBS online for plumbing the heater in.

Need to go to scrapyard this weekend and get a VSS off an Astra and also the Corsa header tank. Also need to drill the MPi radiator to add an extra line for the return from the header tank. WEEEEEEEEEE.

I now have a forwards opening bonnet though. Awesome.
