I've stripped the Corsa loom back after finding that I didn't have continuity on a few of the wires. I checked resistance from the plugs in the engine bay to the plugs at the ECU and a few of them have faults. I've looked for anything obvious, but can't see much. There are a few areas where the plastic loom casing is missing, so I'm guessing that the wires have been stressed or something.....
More to follow, but I'm wondering whether it's going to be easier to get a new loom. I'm just not confident that replacing small sections of wires will remove any potential future problems.
I think that I'm going to go for replacing the dodgy ones just to get it up and running and tested/taxed, then replace the whole loom in the future. I'm running out of patience with electrics now though!
