I dont think i explain myself that good on the last post. Basically the car turns over without the spark plugs in so with out compression.

Took the starter motor out and that works fine. But as soon as you have compression it turns over like you have a flat battery
but i no the battery is fine due to we tested that my mechanic is gonna speak to hes mate but i thought i might be able to get
help.

how freely does the engine turn without the plugs in, it should be fairly quick... does it sound laboured in anyway ?

has the mini been sat for any length of time then? Also, has any work been done to the engine recently?

Have you tried to tow or bump start it.
it might be a lazy starter motor

Oh rite i see what you mean. well when we took it out my mechanic got a screwdriver and actually tried to turn the cog inside where the starter motor gos and said that it was to tight and that it might be something internal.

As it hasn't been run for a while could it be a lack of oil on the nessecery parts??
