150w? no. If you could get some 55w, then yes.

They don't look any bigger than some of the Cibies which some people have fitted.

The one thing I would strongly advise is, speak to your local MOT man on the 'legality' of having 3 lamps.

On Our Old Talbot Sunbeam SS Rally Car We Had Cibie Super Oscars With 150/160w Bulbs, We Had No Problem At The MOT Station As They Were Seperate From The Main Beam Switch.

Then When We Had A Crash, We Went To Ring Rally Giants. Not As Good As The Cibies Though.

dont see no reason apart from the bulbs been too big (high watts) just make sure you wire them up to a seperate switch and it should be dandy

cool :w00t: so if i wire them up to a seperate switch they should be fine at 150w? or do i have to lower the wattage to 55w?

nice rally car by the way :genius: yea looked better before with the two spots.. still looks good though!

AND remember no auxilery lamps are to be used into the face of oncoming trafic ,
they must be wired with an iluminated switch only onto the HI or main beam (with a relay)for spots
and low beam or dip for fogs (and you still cant use them if someone is coming the other way EVEN in fog)

Yeah, Last Thing You Want Is To Put Two 150w Lamps On In Fog... It'll Be Like Having A White Wall In Front Of You!
Cheers For Liking The Old Talbot, We Had To Get Rid Of It A While Ago Due To The Engine Going Bang At 8800rpm

Cibies every time

And with 540 watts total output on main beam, you need a bigger alternator too :) (ssshhhhh, i know, i keep the caps on the 130 watt lamps 'most' of the time  )

Still, makes driving in the country lanes at night a whole different experience.

Yeah should be perfectly fine, I had three old rally spots on the front of my mums volvo 740 :) and it passed the MOT fine. If you are worried either go and ask you MOT man or wire em up to a seperate switch to the main beam. Just make sure that if you don't do this, you don't wire them up so they are on when you have the lights on dip as well as full beam! find the wire that is live when you put the lights on full, and tap into that. Thats what I did.

P.S if you dont fit em, sell them to me please. Ta.

i think the only requirement is that they are placed on the front symmetrically and are opperated with the main beam (but a cut off switch as well will be ok)

yes they are legal....

fitting them as said running that wattage you will probably need to upgrade your alternator. they will need a stronger cable running the supply for them using an relay wired up from the power to the main beam, so they dont work on dip. you can also use a switch, so you have a coice of them on or not as well.
