As Cowboy says, you'll need to make up a new circuit for them. Heavy gauge wire and at 150 watt each I would fuse them individually using 1 15 amp each if they're blade fuses or 1 25 amp each for glass cartridge fuses. If you can't get 6mm cable (50 amp) and a 70 amp relay then you'll need to make three seperate looms, one for each lamp and use three relays too. They need to be supplied directly from the solenoid and use a relay to connect them into the main beam circuit. And as above definitely use a switch to be able to isolate them.

If they are driving lamps then they're fine so long as the single one is in the exact middle of the car and any wattage is OK because they can only be on with main beam.
If they are fog lamps and your car is newer than 1986 then you can't fit them as you are only allowed to fit E marked or Kite marked lamps, which are 55 watt maximum. Fog lamps must be setup the same way as dipped beam lights (including the dip angle) and at the same position as dipped lights are permitted if they are wired to be on indepandantly of the headlamps (which is what they are for after all).

Fog lamps can be used if people are driving towards you as they are replacement dipped beam lamps and should really only be on if the dipped beams are off but as above driving lamps must only be on with main beam.

I'd like to point out that 130 watt bulbs, or come to it 150 watt lamps are NOT legal on the European road irrespective of them being wired only to come on with main beam.

Bulbs/ lamps have to be 'E' aproved. You try and get an automotive bulb thats over 60 watts and 'E' aproved.

I will point you to this though. If you have the halogen coversion head lamps, halfords sell Bosch H4 bulbs with 55/100 and are apparently 'E' aproved, it says so on the packet, " All Bosch halogen lamps are 'E' aproved.

So I run with these 55/100 head lamps, 2x 55watt driving lamps and 2x 130watt Spot lamps which have the caps fitted most of the time, only come off for special occasions, honest :) oh and the pairs of lights are on seperate switches as well

look at it this way, If I were driving on the country roads with all my lights on and a car came round the corner, which might just be a police car. If im not quick enogh to switch them off, i could literaly blind the driver, and being a policeman, Id be F$&ked.

If you got one of those 500watt halogen security lights at home, go and look at it directly to get the jist of what other drivers would suffer.

This is advice, do what you wish with this advice. The MOT will not look at the auxilary lamps unless they are blatently fitted in contravention of the construction and use act. The MOT does not mean your vehicle is road legal, it just means its road worthy, two totaly different things but if the latter is not true then the former is definately not true.

Ive rambled enough, my head hurts.

Hi

I can’t see any problems with you having them fitted as log as you have them wired in separately through a relay, with a switch as the 150w bulbs aren’t road legal. I have four 9” wipacs fitted to mine and haven’t had any problems with the MOT or Police (when I’ve been stopped in the past). Mine have 55w bulbs fitted and I have them wired in so I can isolate them and just have the side lights working (which is usually the case as I don’t tend to drive in the dark)
