I have a magnetic aerial, only trouble is that it has left a mark on the white roof which I can't seem to get out. Remember to secure the lead down as this can scratch the paintwork.

I dont know much about these radios so i will prob make a pratt of myself!
the range wont be much mre than that will it if its car based?
Id love something like a 10 mile one. On the London to Brighton if someone gets stuck at lights you can easily get 3 miles ahead.
I supose if someone has a long distance one and the other person only has a cheaer short distance one they will be albed to hear you but not the other way around right?

its between these 2 for me. Both diffrent ends of the price bracket (ignoring the mega powerful £300 ones)
Also if you use a magnestic roof mount i have noticed that most people put a small cloth between the magnet and the roof. I presume this protects the roof..?

LOL
SNAP
Thats why i fitted a DV mount in the boot lid with a 72" base loaded whip.
The SWR was too high with a mag mount, thats the only real problem.
Mind you i am running 50watt amp

Not that i condone such an illegal act

Make sure you read and understand the legislation before using CB.

We now use a cloth underneath the magnet. Wish I had done this the first time!

Fancy giving a quick outline of the legislation? Dumb it down the best you can! lol
and whats the deal with the 50 watt amp? is their a limit? I take it the 50watt am means its more powerful and will work better over long distance?
