Got a new MDF dash courtesy of Nick The Greek (extremely good quality dash by the way :) )

Only one problem though......it needs painting! We want to get it airbrushed with something a bit different, but a bit stuck at the mo. We've chosen someone to do it. One idea is to have a flapping union jack on it. The pic below is one done on a motorbike tank by the guy thats going to do ours:

This'll look pretty sweet, although we're thinking of something a little different maybe....perhaps flapping italian flag blended into union jack with the three italian job coopers......not sure about this though as may be a bit tacky.

It's gotta be right as it's not cheap prob around £300

Has anyone got any ideas or pics of airbrushed dashes for inspiration! Any help would be appreciated!

Would it go over the raised console though?

well get it done in two stickers, just matched. company that you choose to do sticker would be able to do that, and make sure they match.

lot cheaper.

yeah, ive got to agree with smudger, a printed sticker would be alot cheaper and it if is done correctly will look just as good if not better (depending on what exactly it is you want.)

Personally im not really a fan of the flag dashboards.

How about an airbrushed image of your mini on the dashboard?

but if the flags really what you want, im sure theres a company that does it. ceck the back of mini world

I think Dash of colour (kolor?) do airbrushed dashes, but again, I have to agree with Smudger's idea.

I don't know if I'm 100% convinced about a vinyl wrap, but is definitly worth looking into. Does anybody know of any companies that do it so that I can speak to them?

Cheers ;D

any sign writing company that do muti colour (picture type) signs... there's a place where i live called sign language, you can drive a van in to there workshop and take some photos, and they blow the images up, merge them and stick them over the whole side of the vehicle.

Just a quick update!

We decided to go down the airbrushed route in the end. Even though it's more expensive, we could get exactly what we want!

I've attached a pic of it prior to it being lacquered. Needless to say once the lacquering is done it will look the dogs danglies!

Nope, wasn't all that struck by the pics of theirs. It was done by Colin at www.airbrushartwork.co.uk. He usually does motorbikes, but I emailed him and asked him if he could do my dash and he said yes!
