Not long owned mine ,1983 1275 fitted, HIF44, rollcage ,buckets,7-13 minilights,Metro turbo vented discs & calipers, sportpack arches, lowered etc.Someone had spent a substantial amount on the car a few years prior to me getting it.Some things on the car will have to be changed but it had got most things I wanted on the car(gettin old & me poor back wont take to much bendin!) so I was lucky realy

Marksmini,I come from Stoke and a mechanic by trade.Time & family permiting I hope to be around to answer a few questions etc.A lot of the clubs local to me seem to have moved on and then I found the mini forum and joined up.The forum is a great idea as it brings people together from all over and we can all help one another.

I work for a small independant garage established in the early 70,s .Apart from me there is only the owner and his son who is my age and they are all into classic cars. Its a nice enviroment, the money aint good but the people & the job satisfaction are important to me.Everything is old school there,so it suits me nicely and I am not sure I could cope with a busy main dealership. How you guys cope with the pressure I dont know,it seems like everybody wants the jobs done yesterday and for free,I dont think they appreciate what goes into modern cars.

Hi all just got a Mini City on long term loan from a mate whos joined the forces. 998 motor with a few choice bits in it, ending in a GSXR1000 race exhaust can. Hehe.
2 Cobra bucket seats, no rear seats, centre console and a shedload of problems for me to put right.
