P91mer, there used to be a company called Z.A.K that made speaker surrounds to mount 6x9's in the pockets.

as long as the door pocket is reasonably sealed, then the speaker should sound about right, you would have to mount it as near to the top as possible

i had mine in the shelf but have now moved them down to under the rear seats for security reasons. the sound is nowhere near as good but have now got a sub so they are pretty much useless as ive got some 4's in the doors
