could only do a few bits then as i was arranging a trip to z cars to get some more bits, but over a few evenings got the handbrake and gear shift in

Posted Image

put the throttle bodies back on the engine

Posted Image

Made a start on the dash so i could mount the fuse/relay box underneath and start putting the loom in

Posted Image

And put the water pipes down the tunnel

And then managed to get a full day on her today so rebuilt my servo assembly which has just come back from the powder coaters, fitted the new parts and refitted it to the car

Posted Image

Along with the pedal box

Posted Image

Run a servo hose and brake line front to rear through tunnel and fitted a bias valve

Posted Image

Connected the coolant hoses at the front

Posted Image

and at the rear, still need to fit header/expansion tank though

Posted Image

Posted Image

and sorted my air filter, phew think thats enough for now going home for a well deserved beer i think

Looking good mate, glad to see another busa version being built.
just one thing i noticed is that you havnt fitted your chain yet? You may have a problem as there aint enough slack in the chain to be able to get it around the sprockets with the tensioner set at the shortest distance, you may need to remove the engin sprocket off the splines fit the chain and place it back on the splines.
Thats how mine was as i had to replace the water pump housing and couldnt gett he chain off without removing the sprocket.
Good luck with the build, If you need any advice? Just ask,

Cheers

Thanks for that mark, congrats on your car by the way its absolutley mint, was talking to chris at z cars yesterday about it, your car was the one that led me to the forum originally, and its the one i have followed so hope you dont mind there may be some similarities with yours! I havent fitted the chain yet because i need to borrow a chain riveter from a local bike shop for a few hours and havent got round to it yet, but thanks for the helpful advice saved me a lot of time and head scratching there, maybe a lot more questions coming your way got a feeling im about to get stuck!

Hi dean thanks for that,i would like people to think it was a fast build, but only just got round to posting it, so its over a years progress in about 3 pages lol, updates will be at a more realistic pace now!. Ive got sportspack arches, wanted some euro group 5 arches to be a bit different but they wouldnt cover the wheels when i tried them so i admitted defeat, their just being painted at the mo (orange of course!)but not in any rush for them.Main thing is now i have bought everything to fire it up so hoping to do that in the next week or so, i really need to do because ive never heard this engine run :P

Then ill let my bank account recover :'( , panel it all up, and stick the rest together- thats the plan at least! want mine finished too,you are probably doing the same as me-cowering in a corner and muttering to yourself over and over"one day it will be finished"!! or maybe that just me.The wheels on yours are ace, thats a great idea having to hubs altered to do something a bit different, wish i had thought of that!
