once rally cars running reliably im quickly as possible gona do the engine build, buy everything i could possibly need 1st then should be a quick job apart from the machiening time

Yeah the pics all backwards

It looks like David and I are racing up the over taking lane when in fact, were just cruising in the slow lane.

today iv been converting to disk brakes!

eeh eeeeh!!! not complete tried using the drive shafts from a disk set up, except the CV's wouldn't fit into the pot joints which are fitted to the clubman :withstupid:| :( ;)

sending mum to southam mini and metro centre tomorrow to get them fiddled with them and fit new CV's as necessary

fitting with new braded hoses.

when it gets here new yellow band, twin outlet master cylinder (should be OK to run to work for 1 maybe 3 days.) then knick the load aportioning valve from herb to put on the bulk head fit that and brakes should be all upgraded ;) oh minus the fact rear cylinder will need to be replaced for larger ones

i want to get the clubby nice looking again lol seeing the piccys above on the way to riv run, new bumper, new sill arch trim then start on the engine!!! miiight be able to get imp 875 pistons which give a nice +134 over size

also had a wee talk with southam earlier when i was pickin up the drive shafts about the imp 875 pistons said should be do able just need to make sure i can get pistons rings...and woo iv found a supplier

bores need off setting to avoid an oil way but thats all good, they were unsure of the compression height being workable on a 1098 but if i get these pistons for free, realise they dont fit then sell em on, i could be making money which is always a bonus in which case ill get pistons from aus

with the 83.72mm stroke and the 67.98 bore will give me nice 1215 i believe (not added up myself yet)

trackings mostly done now, the lock nuts on the steering rack were stuck and wouldnt undo past a certain point (which is why i gave up lol)

mum took it to about 4 different places today while i was at work :S 1st place said they couldnt do it due to being sceized so said try such n such place, next said no because they dont use heat as they cant garentee they work done, so sent off to next place he did some work got them unstuck but he wouldnt do the tracing work as that isnt what he does but sujested another place. He however did do a rough set up and from that its already much! better...doesnt feel dangerious to drive lol...anyway the place the 3rd guy sujected to do the finalised tracking "sorry we cant do wheels that small" they told me mum they were bloody 10 inch wheels...NO there 12's and i know for fact my friend had his mini on 12's set up at that place :D

in other news....clutch release bearings slowy dying (feels better when engines warmed up but still dying)
brakes are good  but i think need new disks and pads and i get a jumping pedal on depression, indicates warping of the disk and of course! pads would be changed as matter of course
