soooo thinking the clubman engine...i waaaas hoping to build it before rivi-run but for the 2nd time iv had silly...crazzzy ideas but i shal not reveal all as yet

1098 enigne +hilman imp 875 pistons + 134thou offset over bore= 1215cc or somthing like that lol
crank to be balanced, wedged drilled n such
rods to be lightened and balanced
Cyl. head to be 12G940 with the rather large over bore i might be able to get away with out valve pockets but ill do a dry build before i test that theory

now the mighy interesting bit  with installing the imp pistons the block is usualy decked by 135thou to raise the compression ratio to a usable level
hoooooowever  im not sure if im going to do that! can anyone guess perhaps why that might be??

naaa superchargers going on the other one lol

think a nice GT17 turbo will be a goodun

just waiting for answers on theimpclub to make sure that the imp pistons are infact strong enough for forced induction...

be waiting a little longer to do this as i want to run megajolt to make sure i can tune the turbo properly, i was going to leave a hardened diff pin in but i should go for xpin diff

aswell as not too long after that upgrading to adjustable suspension set up just for piece of mind kinda thing

clutch bearing died today :D oohoh dear

lucky i was not very far from work at all! so kinda limped it there. After work i got it in the workshop and on the 2 poster ramp to get those PITA bolts which hold the clutch cover on....just got the cover off when they closed up for the night :dontgetit: BUGGER! had to leave the F'er there and get mum to drive all the way to work to pick me up
i had a spare release bearing in my toolbox at work too so its ok i guess....except my "24mm" spanner if too fat to fit the lock nut on the plunger :D i might have to grind mine down then

tell ya what...clubman ent 1/2 a pain at times...maybe the title should be changed to somthing along the lines of "never ending list of problems to a car that when i bought i said i wasnt going to modify....now look whats happened"
