Took the KOD father for a blast in the farm today. no exaust and cows that just stared at me!
they didnt seem that bothered by the noise!
it coughed and spluttered at high revs with no back pressure but handled lovely and felt perfect! really cant wait till its on the road. I fitted brand new chrome wheel nuts today. the look good but i still really want the blue wheel nuts. No one has them in stock at the moment and it would seem its going to be a while before there back in :D
if anyone knows where i can get electric blue wheel nuts for deep dish superlites please let me know! thanks

To do list for MOT
1, contiune to attempt to get int touch with the pratt from old skool mini parts (ebay shop) who gave me the wrong link pipe with my exaust. Im ordering an exaust and link pipe together, you know its a centre exit exaust so why send out a side exit one with it?! Prat. another delay in finishing. thanks, also he wont reply to emails, ebay questions or phone calls. even when i bought the dam thing he didnt reply when i emailed him! I wont ever buy from them again.
2, sort out hole in battery box
3, Fit temp bonnet, bonnet needs to have a catch fitted.
4, connect speedo cable =] not looking forward to this one
5, refit speedo and rev counter.
6, get it booked into the MOT centre!
7, (possibly) get list of items it failed on, fix then realize the list was just page 1 of 5! :S lol

the Youtube link for the engine now works by the way

Thanks
just been to take some pictures to take for this paul guy from old skool mins so he can see that the xaust is to short. if the forum would let me id upload more pictures for you, but it wont so sorry!

right, this is getting working my last nerve. the guy emailed me so i could reply with pictures of the exaust, I spent about 5 minutes with hotmail adding pictures to the email (a process that is so slow it puts me in a pretty bad mood anyway) right so i send the email and 2 secs later it comes back. the prat spelt blueyonder wrong. so now i got to add pictures again etc....

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :D =] ;) :( :- :- :- :- :w00t:

ok, just got off phone with Paul. I take it back. hes a nice guy and Im the prat. It would seem im miss the Y bit at the end of my exaust so thats why the whole thing it to short. So i bought a new manifold and Y piece etc.
hes sending it out asap even before I sent him the cheque because Ive already spent £100+ with him and he trusts me. so Old skool minis are a decent ebay shop and I would buy from them again (because i just have!) so now i just sit patient and wait for my mainfol. Ive ordered the gasket aswell. guess i should get on to sorting the wipers, dials and speedo cable.

EDIT I also got a Mk1 grille surround today! :proud:
but the guy who was going to build my custom one off grille for me has left his job and disapeared! :D I will go on the hunt for another chrome expert!

i cant post up any more off my digital camera, but that one was one i got off ebay and it worked for some reason. i guess the ones on my camera are to big. i will try to reduce their size somehow. did you think i was lieing mad4minis?!!! lol
i will try that photobucket thing again. tried it earleir but they were taking forever to upload so i quit it. will try to one at a time. so you just post the link and the photo appears or do you have to do something else?
