Yep, unless you can make them like the MG rockers covers? (the square ones with fins on)

Would it make much difference if the clear cover was slightly bigger than the original rocker cover? if it doesnt matter about it being a few mm bigger then i would be able to knock some of these up for people.

EDIT: ill have a go at making a clear MG rockers covers this week but i wont be able to test it till the weekend.

If the rocker cover was say, 5mm lower then the MG rockers covers standerd would it still fit? if so then i could make it about the same size at the base of the rocker cover.

Also how thick would you want the clear plastic to be 2mm, 3mm, etc...

to be honest, I don't think size is a matter, as long as its flat along the bottom to ensure a perfect seal is made... and a few mm bigger could be better, as I maybe be running some monster rockers lol

any ideas on how much your gona be knocking these out 4!?

sounds very cool!! i want one!

if the material is thicker i can imagine it to be stronger, there for clamping down onto the gasket firmer with only the two bolts/ tbars at the top!?

The plastic will have to be more around 4mm thick surely... or it will just crack when bolted down...

Nope as they would only be for show, and not for road use as they would jsut get dirty. This would mean that they wouldnt have to be done up to the full torque. however as i said befor i will test with the different thicknesses of plasctic so that i can find what i belive to be best. But yes i think i agree with you it would be around 4mm.

OK well ill see what the school have in stock and if i need thicker stuff then ill ask them to ofer it in. but as im using the MG rocker cover the fins on the top will be more lost using thicker plastic.

are you going to vac form em then?? i expect it would be very difficut to do that with 4mm.
or i guess you could mill them out of a block of acrylic or polycarb but would be way more expensive and wasteful.

however you are planning on doing them, I'd have thought it would be very difficult to keep the fins without it looking a mess.
