Best rocker cover for this would be the good old standard bit of tin they wanged on, easy to form a vaccum to and no special designs... and it's also off a mini, not a metro.

If you plan to sell them you should really make sure you get across that they are show use only. If someone happens to run an engine with one on, and it breaks, and they either cover a show standard engine bay in oil, or worse, their engine suffers damage, then they *could* come to you for compensation.

what about chopping up the normal metal one making a perspex window in the top? made of higher heat stuff lexan or somthing (i think thats the right stuff)

as i said before,the only material you could make a clear rocker cover out of(one which would work)is as mini93 said "lexan".it's the only stuff i know of which could be machined accuratly/not leak oil.as for tomf your idea sounds ok but if your thinking of using acrylic i dont think the finish will look very good.
