looking great man, just been flicking through the project. I notice you have an oil temp guage, but not a water temp. Where do you plan on puttin the oil temp sender?

I do have a water temp :( you cant of been looking Hard enough,

Im not sure as of the moment where the sender will be mounted, i guess wherever it will be easiest to pipe it into the dash, and still give accurate readings.

yer... always wanted to put an oil temp on my mini but... never wanted to drill a hole in my sump and tap it to fit.

What an amazing restoration and what an amazing thread.

I love that colour, if you don’t mind me asking what is it and where did you get it from, its a similar colour to what i am thinking for mine. I just cant get over the quality of the work and the time you must have put in. Hats off to you, im sure mine wont be as well restored as yours but i have defiantly picked up some advice and ideas.

Cant wait to see it all finished.

The colour is actually an original mini colour, its nordic Blue, Was used on the mini neon minis in the 90's

Look people... top tip... dont run whilst holding a running angle grinder... if you trip you could do this...

should looka lot better once i get it cleaned up a bit with the grinder and then powder coat it. thats a job for this weekend though me thinks

They where surprisingly easy to do too!

cant recommend the ebay seller boltmeup enough also. top notch stainless A2 grade and lightning deliverly
