I sure have... but of the top secret type ;)

One thing i did do was test fitted the bootlid last night. Seems to fit nicely, so its now gone back to the bodyshop to be massively straightend out due to being a rubbishly pressed panel. by the way this is the quality of the heritage mk1 bootlid. Steer clear.

as you can see plenty of fluctuations in the smoothness of the panel.

I cleaned my gearchange with some stuff for cleaning electrical contacts. I would think carb cleaner would do the same job. I used that a toothbrush some wire wool and a couple of other small wire brushes from the local £1 shop.

The sound deadening was removed from the floor with a hammer and chistle. then skimemd with one of the plastic grinder bit things that look a bit like a birds nest? if you know the ones i mean.

:P

Yep,

They are as they come off the press and aparently this is one of the better ones. I cant remember who it was i spoke with at heritage, but he said not to bother sending it back as i would only get one the same or worse back.

Talking of Heritage panels,i`ve just fitted a driverside doorstep/doorpost panel and at both ends of the panel where it finishs the edge looks like its been cut with a plasm cutter not leaving any sort of straight edge, also i have a heritage inner wing with no hinge holes!

In all fairness the other panels i have had from them... and there have been a few! have been 100% which is why i was so shocked at the quality of this item.

When i did the passengerside all the heritage panels were spot on.
They maybe need some form of quality control!
