Your wiring is the issue Alex. Some of it maybe too small a gauge and it sounds like you could have bad connections.
My advise is buy a proffesional crimping tool. That will sort you out. Wait till something in your system stops working or is temperamental, then check that the wiring is OK, especially your earth. Then replace any spade connectors or whatever is on there with a proper crimping tool.

that tool looks nice! though what i do b4 crimping is a dash of solder on each connector to make it that little bit more reliable and have a better conenction

found it was that the amps wern't earthing propperly. so to fix the problem i sold the 2 amps i had on the boot lid and bought a big pheonix gold 4 channel bad ass giant of a amp. 175watt RMS on each channel. matchs my sub amp as well looks the bom. spend the day trying to get it in but its taking time getting the wiring right.
