New fuel pump bits arrived today
Along with a HIF44 rebuild kit.

Going to rebuild a HIF44 over the next few days, fit my fuel pump possablity the weekend...
Hopefully, this will narrow down what the actual problem to why Flubber is refusing to start properly...

Well carb is rebuilt, and I have a free weekend next weekend...

I am going to see if I can get the old boy going properly now. Show season is apon us!

Jobs I need to do;

• Chop out grille
• remove old dizzy and check dizzy timing
• Fit new Aldon Dizzy
• Fit new rebuilt carb
• Replumb in Oil cooler (and attach to inner wing)
• Check all the front wiring
• Remove rear wiring loom
• Replace rear loom with the new loom
• Fit new fuel pump
• Fit Fuel filter/reg
• get Headlamps working

Nah never got that far Boo.

Brakes are all still intact on the Van. Only thing I do need to get, is tyres (which I have)
I am chopping the grille out, so I can have a removable pressed steel jobbie - you'll see, once the grille is fitted, you won't notice.

Just an update to bring the spec up to date...


Orignally a 850, then it was a 998, and now its currently a 1380.

I've owned it since March, and the current spec sheet is thus...

• Rear subframe complete refurbished
• All nuts and bolts renewed
• New rear raduis arms
• New 1.5* Neg camber brackets
• New cones
• New Hi-los
• New handbrake cable
• New wheel bearings
• New "Complete" rear drum brakes
• New Adjustable GAZ Shocks
• New bushes
• New Braided brake hoses
• New fuel tank & sender
• Undersealed and painted

And the front has had a simuar treatment...

• Refurbished front subframe
• New brake master cylinder
• New Clutch Master Cylinder
• New break lines
• New braided Brakes hose
• New cooper hoses
• Cooper S 7.5" Calipers and disks
• New blackstuff break pads
• New Cones
• New upper arms
• New lower arms
• Heavey duty tie rods
• New bushes everywhere
• New Brake light switch
• New wheel bearings
• New ball joints
• New adjustable GAZ shocks
• New Master brake cylinder
• New Clutch Master cylinder
• All nuts n bolts renewed

This was also fitted along with my 1380, which I've built...

• 1380cc
• Stg4 Rob Walker head
• Twin HS4 1.5" SU's on a Maniflow inlet
• 1.5:1 Roller Rockers (Swiftune)
• SW5-07 Camshaft
• New followers
• New pushrods
• New pistons (73.5mm Powerman 7cc dished)
• Balanced and lightened A+ con-rods
• New 1275 A+ Crankshaft
• New bearings - inc cam bearings
• New Veriner dupplex timing chain
• Pre-A+ transfer gears
• Rebuilt and strenthened GT gearbox
• Centre oil pickup pipe
• Xpin differantal
• 3.1 Final Drive
• Lightened and balance billet Flywheel
• New orange clutch diaphram
• Rally/race clutch plate
• New Aldon Yellow electronically converted dissy
• New 10row oil cooler
• New oil temostat
• Converted to pre-engaged starter
• New super cool 2core rad
• New 6 blade "hot" fan
• New large impeller water pump
• New Sylicone hoses (ALL)
• New core plugs
• New oil ways
• New fuel pump
• New fuel filter/regulater

Steering dropped
Added AUX dials... Vac gauges, Oil pressure, Oil temp, rev counter, Water temp, Volts.

Once the enigne is going, I am starting the inside... the theme - Black, Leather, and brushed Aliminum!
Just a smart, stylish, high end "posh" car look. With a decent ICE system, padded rear floor...

top it up with methanol, if it's going to fire up at all it will on that!!
