It would do 60 in 5.2 according to the digi dash - reading off the rear wheels.

Check it out.....
265mm on alloy bells with tarox 6 pots....
I also got my rear disks through and realised they're bigger than my old front disks were.....I won't be short of stopping power.
Yeah I had too much rear brakes with the standard cylinders in the bias setup so i'm going for a bigger cylinder for the rear, probably 7/8's I think off the top of my head.
I can't really be too specific when predicting weight, if i'm under 600 kilos i'll be pretty happy as the car will be road legal. Trouble is there's as much cobblers spread about weight these days as there is about horsepower....these mythical 550kilo 150hp miglia's have a lot to answer for.
Dan,
Looks like the setup zcars were selling on e-bay??
Are you using the ford handbrake calipers aswell?
I have those calipers on my mini and the Kad Pedal box was not right with them as i couldnt get enough line pressure to make them work well.(As there is less piston area than KAD/Metro 4 pots, hence a smaller cylinder is required)
As you need a smaller than 5/8 cylinder to get more pressure which is only available from ap racing at around £90 plus VAT so i removed the Kad pedal box altogether, fitted a MINI clutch master cylinder (3/4") to feed front and rear circuits and just use an in line brake valve in the rear circuit to balance the car off,
If you read my project thread you will see what i mean, plus i have fitted bigger discs on the rear and not running and restriction on the rear line valve at the moment.
This is a lot simpler system and more effective in my own opinion when using different calipers, Zcars racers also use a single cylinder system aswell now.
Pm me your number and i will give you a call if you need any more advice???
Cheers
ps a single cylinder weighs a lot less than a KAD pedal box aswell, And less to go wrong!!

hehe, or was that just FAR too cheap to contemplate

and as for the rear cage/subframe idea, you could follow my idea, whereby the ENTIRE boot floor + arches are removed (just replace them with plastic liners, no rot to ever worry about again!) Mine will be located along the heelboard, along the top of the rear bulkhead, and a small "hoop" going rearards, to also attatch to the parcel shelf, whereby it can be securely attatched to the cage, without loosing the whole rear bulkhead, or chopping huge holes out of it.
Mine however, will be housing something a bit heavier than just suspension mind you - but I'm keeping even more schtum over that, than you are with your power levels.........

I'm weighing up my options with the rear bulkhead at the moment, as I don't intend any of if to be load bearing I may well cut it all out, I just haven't decided yet.
As for the pre pump filter, with the frequency of oil changes and engine rebuilds I do I don't have an issue with it, I didn't feel it was worth the faff especially as it can cause issues with oil pressure.

And if you're not going to make the rear bulkhead load-bearing, you may as well chop it out, but make it so you could bolt it back in, around/over the poles used for the rear subby. Or you could just replace it with a bit of shaped ABS plastic/etc. Would look pretty damned good if you could get something that looked very similar to the original panel, but made of something lightweight
