I might be heading that way after seeing evos results on the 1.4 Turbo K. 195HP!!!! First ill have some fun with throttle bodies first.. Barrrp!

1.4 is best for turbo use imo. Liners are an issue, 1.6 is slightly thinner. We'll see.
Also, evo's turbo k is a clubby, it fits :)

Hmmm, interesting cheers!

Well, to be honest this is a future project. I have been looking at MGF rear subframes too, so perhaps a turbocharged 1400 K series would be cool. I mean, nearly 200 donkeys and a bucketful of torque could show some people up! :)

mgf rear subbys are essentially k series metro fronts, might save you some money

LMAO! I really should do some more research myself!

Right, plans could change!

I am now thinking that I could buy a 1.4 K series Metro, use the front subby off it in the rear of the mini and turbo charge it, but possibly use an MGF gearbox...........

I think I'll stop posting in this section for now! Thanks for all the ideas anyway...

Annoying thing is that I can't get in touch with the eBay seller of the 1600 engine that I won!!!! :)

Okies, thanks.

I am glad that there are people that know so much more about K series engines than me! :(

I am currently bidding on a Garret T25 unit off a Rover 800 series, am thinking of going down that route. Just need to sort out manifolds and ECU bits and bobs (oh yeah, and pick the engine up) >_<

The man you want to speak to is Evolotion over on 16vminiclub.com. Hes got over 300bhp from a 1400 k series turbo!!!
