Hello all, Thought I'd start my project pages for my new Mini. It's a 1991 city that I brought from ItsARealMiniAdventure after he had an accident in it.

Needs the floor beating back out there it was hit by something, 2 new wings, front panel, 2 new subframe mounts for the lower rear mountings, new tie bars (Just gonna fit adjustables)

Plans are:

Mk1 attributes, Moustache surround, wavy grille, Mk1 rear light conversion, Mk1 Bootlid in either steel or FG with a mk1 number plate light and folding numberplate carrier , Grp 2 Arches covering either 6x10 or 5x10 minilites, Gaz Shocks with Hi-Los to get it low , possibley adjustable geometry set up front and back. Maniflow Freeflow stage 1 kit.

Interior I will be using the Cobra Monaco's from my last project (soon for sale ), Fitting a Carbon look dash, Montourney steering wheel.

Day 1: Strip down, Just spent a while stripping down the whole front end, grille, lights ect





Is it me or is this a goldseal engine, which as far as I have been told was a replacement for BLMC/Rover engines...



Next few days will be cleaning the inner wing and outer wing seams up to find all the spot welds, drill them out and replace them Going to chop the lot off first thou and then beat the floor back out

Good luck straightening the floor, is it badly bent?
I think my mini is still slightly bent from when I crashed it years ago. When i strip it down sometime in the future, will hopefully get to the bottom of that!

Sounds good, But dont get it to low or it will just bounce about like how mine did with the gaz shocks to. Good luck with it

Finnaly cracked down to some work yesterday night, only been able to squeeze in the odd hour due to college commitments Found out aswell the subby's twisted, Sourced a new one thou for cheap so I'l be having that sandblasted and powder coated.

Disconected and labeled up the wiring, disconected the rad hoses, heater control cable and throttle choke cables. Started to dismantle the hub set up on one side easier to do it whilst its all fastened nicely to the car then trying to undo them when the subbys on the floor!

Next jobs, disconect the clutch slave cylinder form the clutch arm, disconnect the brake pipe, fuel line and gear selector rods.

Then going to drop the front end out. Repaint and rebuild with poly bushes, hi-los and adjustable tie bars. Update soon!

save some money and just hammerite the subby. or use por frost stuff or chassis black

Subby's here!!! After looking at it, all it probably needs is a good degreasing. In mega condition. Cheers for the advice Miniboo!

Just been de-greasing and polishing stuff for the past 2 days...



Gave the Subby a coat of hammerite too. Few more coats to do.



Hopefully get some Hi-Lo's, Poly bushes for the whole front end and adjustable bottom arms and tie bars at himley.

Picked up some Hi-Los, adjustable tie bars and a full poly bush kit for it from Himley, you all now what they look like so theres no need for pictures

Been a good week this week, Got the subby rebuilt with the tie bars, bottom arms, hi los and cones. Then spent all of sunday cleaning the engine ready for paint

Next job, fit a new clutch on it, replace thermostat gasket and rocker gasket, repaint the rocker gasket with an aerosol and the coil with satin black apposed to hammerite errrm.... Get it back in the car!
