Subframes built up now for the final time, fitted a new clutch plate, pressure plate and release bearing yesterday. Hopefully if it stops raining I can get the engine back in the subframe tomorow and the subframe back in the car :lol: Hopfully anyway.

Ah yeah, haha. Fitted that on saturday, was so funny trying to remove the flywheel.

Uncle was going on the puller wiht what must be a 2-3 foot extension bar, tapped it with the hammer, carried on goign until he couldnt turn he bar, took it off tapped it with a hammer, The flywheel litterally flew about 4 foot from the engine :lol: Got a new cluch plate, pressure plate and release bearing in there.

So happy with recent progress, off to fit my steering rack in a minute.

Yeah, got the clutch sorted on saturday, The flywheel was the biggest problem, but it wasn't a biggen to sort. Just remember when your taking your flywheel off to tap it round the main shaft of the flywheel and itll come off, probably with a loud bang. Don't be worried if it does.

Yeah is verto :P

The clutch kit cost me £47, that was a new release bearing, new pressure plate and new clutch plate :teehee:

:techsupport:

Took no time at all to get it back in, most hasling job was lining the rear subby mounts up, but there all in now.

Gonna put some oil in it, put some cable ties on for the boots on the drive shafts ect, then its onto cracking it up :)

Had a very good day on the mini today, got loads done :D

Fitted the carb, inlet manifold and exhaust manifold, fitted all the lines to the carb, and the air filter;
Swapped the oil filter over (actually did that friday night, but meh) and filled it with oil, fitted ties to the drive shaft boots;
Turned the key, realised I had the fuel waste pipe and fuel line the wrong way round, swapped them over and cracked the key, a little bit of choke had it sounding like a tractor :D;
Fitted the accelerator pedal, and steering column,
Bled the clutch, still has a little air in the system I think, the clutch needs to clear the tiniest bit more so it dosent grind going into reverse (only just thou),
Fitted the rear Hi-Los and it ended up wayyy too low, still, looks good :P

Next job is to fit some sort of brakes to it, then ahve it in the bodyshop for the panel work! :D I'm on target for taking it to MITP :D
