The webbers would look awesome sticking out the front of a Clubman front and there's one in your colour for sale on here too......

Are you aware of the changes needed to the crank and rods with an 8 port head?

depends on the head that is, MED are bringing out a new 8 port design using standard push rods, cam etc

aldon are the most common head at the moment, and yeah need special components

Well thats the thing.

I may well be the 'test car' for the MED 8 port head due to it being an almost straight head swap after speaking to Steve yesterday..

I just want to keep it as normal looking as poss and want to keep the round nose. Im not to keen with it looking tlike the cover car in Jan 07 mini mag.

Johnny, if I ever meet you I'm getting you a nice cold pint from the nearest pub. Just beacuse even after the problems you've had with oil pressure and the like you still want to twiddle.

Woo, home tinkering FTW!

Yep!!!!

The car is silly fast now but i want to up it more. I was going to get slark to nitro it but ive always fancied an 8-port. They just look wrong!! Im just not to sure on the bulge needed on the bonet. Id much rather keep it all the same shape and just have the filter socks popping out the front!!

Have a look for the 8port clarkson drive in an old vid, it's on youtube. It all just about fits under a fibre bonnet.
