He he no i aint fogot just been lazy with the car laley, i need motivation..

latest update is that i got a box for my fillter, i also got some new rubber mountins and a couple of cuting disks ready to start cutting and choping the subframe to bits. I found some problems with the subframe that was in the clubman so i decided to remove the 998 engine from the red mini and use the subfram from that and so i spent the weekend removing the parts from the subframe.

Finaly got my act together and started on the subframe!

hopefully ill finish the subfame thi weekend and im thinking of useing the original calibra engine mountingsbut will have to see!

went through about 10 disks so far!

Ok subframe well on its way, and there goes another 10 cuting disks!

Taken me all Friday night and all Saturday to get this far and not forgetting the 20 cutting disks

still need to finish mountings, and give the subframe more support in certain areas.

anybody know where i can get some CARBON FIBER mamba racing seats from? which are at a good price?

and alloy fuel tank around W600mm x H250mm x D300mm? see one on eba but wondered if anybody found cheaper places?

Hmm wanted some like zcars sells but he has two different prices for them!

Wondered which is correct was hoping the 400

Fuel tank i guess ill have to get the one i found on eBay

Need more metal as i buggered some pieces up!

also i need some mountings as i don’t think ill be able to use the calibra mountings i was wanting to use

Finally got the engine in the engine bay !

Took a couple of attempts first trying from the top but the gearbox fouled on the front of the clubman and also the bulkhead! doh

next i tried from he bottom, this worked but forgot something! The subframe

So back out it came then both the subframe and the engine went in together! whooo..


But its very tight!

Also found some engine mounts for the subframe on good old ebay! i did go to the main land rover dealers and they quoted me £11 each plus Vat to go on top!!

i got 4 for less then 18 quid! and hat was including delivery

Also im having a bit of a problem trying to get the nest position for the engine mountings as u can see by the pics below, at the mo the drive shafts will foul on the subframe

im seirousley looking for some carbonfiber seats but canf find any cheap!

i rang zcars & midland wheels for the carbonfiber mamba seats all in black but they have stopd makeing the seats!

good old ebay has given no good results!

anybody know of a shop which sells *mamba style* carbon seats?
