The scuttle support corners came off in two very different ways; the drivers side one I leant on missing the main scuttle (the wing was already removed) and it came off there in my hand as a nice lump of chicken wire and filler, the passengers side one was virtually gone already with the exception of the mounting points and cigarette paper thin metal, so off that went.
You forgot some F**k whit had repaired the scuttle with a WD40 can that had been welded in as a patch and filled over.

Karl also discovered much to his shock (I mean that litterally) that we had accidently nicked the rear wiring route when we chopped off the scuttle previously, thankfully we discovered this before it resulted in Karl having his hair permantently in the Einstien style and before the car decided to y'know...set fire to itself.
Did i say i din't like getting shoks? still didn't hirt as much as last week when playing with my ignition system.
I’m hoping I can rejoin the wires with a load of connectors and still being able to fit the wiring in the a pillar, or it might mean a second-hand rear loom is needed.

have you cut the cable completely?? just solder th ejoins together and put heatshrink over them
Not completely all the way through, but were i moved the cable and shorted out all the electrics for the rear half of the car ALL of the wires had melted together into one big mess.
