Got to the Park a bit early so had to wait 30 mins to get in but once in bagged a spot on one of the alcoves which proved a good move! Brought extra strong nail pegs and a mallet so no probs getting them into the ground.
Not amused by the BINIS next to us parking their cars in line at 10.30 which then sparked a rush to line up before the accepted time of 4am...marshalls did nothing to stop it and it was only after pleading with them to park in a straight line that some order was restored! Worried that it will start a precendent for the future tho.....
Early to bed at 12.30...why was it so quiet? Seems to have been very subdued this year?
Didn't need to worry about getting in line so had a lie in till 5.30 when our other neighbours decided to rev their engine at max for 10 mins after which he said, "that's better...it's running quieter now!"
Joined the first line as it started moving at left at 8.20.
Followed a more direct route to the A23 then headed off. We took the northern route into Brighton via the A27 and racecourse which brings you out at the Marina so facing the right way to enter Madeira Drive arriving at 9.50 which was a really good run. Then it all went Pete Tong........
For some reason LSMOC decided not to let us into the Drive so we sat at the top of the ramp for 40 mins until they let us in....goodnes knows what the queue must have been like on the main road.... once in we were able to leg it up to where our clubstand was and park with the rest of the club.
Lunch at Cafe Belge which my brother in law runs.
Took us an hour to get out of Brighton when we left at 4 but home by 8.30.
Nice to see a few old faces and some new ones as well.

Did anyone see the thieving git who stole my dust caps(what a petty crime) just angry now.
As we were leaving we saw a man having a go at 3 young kids, they must've been about 11 yrs old. He's caught them nicking dustcaps off cars, think i saw some anodised pinky/red ones that he made them hand over, and they ran off with him calling them thieving litte c**ts!! Im sure they had a load more than that, so may have been them

Glad some people remember hearing Jim yelling at those girls. It was screaming "f**k, f**k, f**k" at the end that cracked me up.

spotted Tomf's, Raz's, Biggav's and Nev paynes' cars at Brighton sea front and saw dogmatix sitting in his van as we were driving up the ramp to the main road as we were leaving.
had quite a long day. left at 3.30. parked outside crystal palace and started the run about 8.45.
took it real slow and got to Brighton around 11.30 i think, had to park right up the end.

was realy good fun, nice to meet you all.
Can anyone remember the name of the guy we stopped to help just outside crystal palace? wanted to make sure he got home ok as we never got a number or saw him again. would like to point out not a good idea to have done the run without breakdown cover, when he was so far from home.
Did anyone see the thieving git who stole my dust caps(what a petty crime) just angry now.
rodders
ryan and i saw the guy we stopped to help arriving at brighton around 2:30, even helped him again by stopping traffic so he could park all the way up front. he said the recovery guy ebded up fixing his clutch.
