Make sure you're comparing like for like, you can get a pack of components from the States - a built unit costs much the same as one from Martin.

yeah i am comparing a kit. which works out at around 45 quid. if people are being charged 30 quid on that then it is wrong i think.
100 quid for a built MAP sensor is good as they cost about 80 from the tstaes before tax. so i guess he is buying them as a kit and then building them at home.

Well iv been told but about 3 people that they got charges 30 when importing their megajolt units.... They said it was something like 10 handeling 15 import tex and then 5 for something random lol.

so the things now are:
mini pulley with purpose built bracket?
is this the best/easiest route for the crank pulley/VR?
group buy of dizzy plugs from MRA?
finding a decent reliable source of the latest coil system.

mra minis blanking plug for A+ engines. same price as on there website. think i might buy one as i have just bought a megajolt kit and this:

The jolt will come with a basic map installed, something like 12 deg at idle, up to about 33 deg at 7000, that should get it running OK to start with.

whats the latest system that can be used?

i think megajolt was deigned around the edis system alone.
won a cheap laptop on ebay today that has a serial port: http://cgi.ebay.com/...I...p;rd=1&rd=1
hopefully it will run the megajolt stuff ok. if not i will put a bigger hard drive in and stick back on ebay

have read somewhere that you can use a PDA with right software to run it.

yeah you can. i think that the guy wth the Midas's uses a PDA and bluetooth serial adaptor is his username LVM18 or summit like that?
