Make sure you're comparing like for like, you can get a pack of components from the States - a built unit costs much the same as one from Martin.

yeah i am comparing a kit. which works out at around 45 quid. if people are being charged 30 quid on that then it is wrong i think.

100 quid for a built MAP sensor is good as they cost about 80 from the tstaes before tax. so i guess he is buying them as a kit and then building them at home.

so the things now are:

mini pulley with purpose built bracket?

is this the best/easiest route for the crank pulley/VR?

group buy of dizzy plugs from MRA?

finding a decent reliable source of the latest coil system.

The jolt will come with a basic map installed, something like 12 deg at idle, up to about 33 deg at 7000, that should get it running OK to start with.

i think megajolt was deigned around the edis system alone.

won a cheap laptop on ebay today that has a serial port: http://cgi.ebay.com/...I...p;rd=1&rd=1

hopefully it will run the megajolt stuff ok. if not i will put a bigger hard drive in and stick back on ebay
