I certainly wouldn't have any worries about going out in any of Spags cars, from the conversions he's done he certainly knows what he's doing!!

Smudger, I think you should get a 4age engine and find out, and I know the perfect donor! :P

Yea the mk1's came with the 4AGE engine (which are bullet proof)

yeh right!!

mine blew the big ends at 100mph on our way to bristol for a party with bristolminimad and bunnykins.

shame you didnt say a few months earlier smudger.. i replaced the engine in my old one.. and you could have just had that.. would have given you dimensions and been able to mock up a subframe for it ;)

shame i got rid of it though :P

You did once tell me that you had something like 120mph out of the MR2 in 4th! Kevlar body armour is bullet proof up to a point! :P

BUGGA!!!!
I had a 4age in my corolla (fg-gt)...i had her for 3 years, did just over 200kms in her, R-Lined every gear (up and down) and the only thing that i ever had to replace on it was the dam CV boots...stupid gravel roads!!!

Well, when funds allow its going ahead.

But first, am getting hold of a front subframe and see if engine fits within the confines of that before lowering toy engine into mozzie.

means can sort out brackets, mounts etc without damageing a rare car by dropping an engine on the bars.

but it seems like its another unbreakable Jap engine, as long as serviced when it should be.

how does over 200bhp per tonne sound?
