RIGHT, IM REALLY PEED OFF.

I have just ordered some suspenstion parts for my mini:

Comp rubber cones. £70
AVO shocks. £240

The cones didnt arive, so I rang and they said they were out of stock but couldnt be bothered ring me and tell me, they had my home and mobile numbers.

Then the AVO shocks.... they arived on time, BUT, they were odd, damaged and had missing parts.

3 were rally/race shocks, one is a lowered standard.
One had a broken damper ajuster.
they had diffrent washers and nuts.
One was red and the others were black.

The guy I spoke to was understanding and has promised me they a set of Bilistines should be here tomorow, but im very disapointed as now I have had to pay to post them back.

I am NEVER using Minisport again.

Give 'em a chance to sort it out - aren't the Bilstein's an upgrade? Be polite and ask for some consideration for the trouble and expense you've had, they might offer you a credit note or partial refund - *woman of ill repute* 'em off and they're quite likely not to bother!

... if they do nothing to remedy the error, they do happen, then by all means come 'n give 'em a good slagging off so we all know :D

Try going into the Padiham shop for something...... you'll be waiting there for a good ten/twenty minutes before they decide to serve you....... :D

Mind you their wolfy dog is very cool, so there's one reason to go :D

Give them a chance to get the new parts back to you in reasonable time, if they're still slow and the cones don't arrive either. Then I would ask for a refund for the postage. I would personally expect that anyway!

The last time i used minisport for first and last time, when they got round to sorting out the order that had been messed up, all I got was two bits of paper through the post, one with sorry about the mishap and the other was a discount voucher to use on your next order, which funny enough I’ve never used.

I usually only read on this forum but this time I felt I had to share my experience with Mini Sport.

I live in Israel and I am rebuilding my mini. I needed many parts including a full roll cage, dashboard, and other parts for a total of 2,000 GBP.
To make a (very very very) long story short: They overcharged me by 150 GBP (in my book this is called stealing). They delayed the order for 5 months. They charged 400 GBP for shipping of 100 KG, which should cost about half as much. I have nothing to do about these issues because a) I'm not there, and b) I'm not a citizen of the EU so I can't sue from abroad.
Across this entire period Mini Sport have never called me, and many times they ignored my emails. Their strategy is simple: they don't answer emails because they want you to call them. They also CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD BEFORE THEY SHIP AND HOLD THE PARCEL AS "HOSTAGE" - which goes against the agreement on their site.

This is an honest warning. Some people would read this and say "yeah OK this guy lives far away, they probably had problems because of this and that and because it was a large order". This is not the case. These people are simply thieves. I'm not saying that you will experience all of this, I am saying you should assume that some of this behavior would reoccur.

I have bought from Minispares many times in the past. They are great suppliers, they keep you up to date, they ship on time, they don't steal from you, and they are far cheaper overall.

DO NOT BUY FROM MINI SPORT NO MATTER WHAT.

Regards,
Adam

I'm still waiting for my brake pads to turn up. They're over a week late and they've still not replyed to my emails!

I said I wouldn't go there again last time.... but I'm a fool! :D

Minispares are quality, I ordered some bits online on a Wednesday night, and called them Thursday to ask about delivery, he said it would probably be Monday but I said I really needed the bits (which I did) for Friday. Despatch then called me back later to confirm when I wanted it delivering, and if I wanted it to an alternate address.

It all arrived, as described, in perfect condition on Friday with UPS. The Hazard Switch didn't come but they'd already told me that on the phone.

No problems at all. I've also been to their store in Harrogate and they were very helpful.

I'm thankful I only live 2 mins from Minimine when I read about all the hassle people have with mail order traders!
