Top project there, love the colour - looks like youv'e got a great finish on it too. Surf blue was on my short list, really fab colour, but Speedwell won it. Good to see a comprehensive resto diary with loads of great pics. Looking forward to seeing it go back together.

well you have got to be the worlds best example of (it can be done diy) i take my hat off to you ive just read the build begining to end and i think you can add engineer to you career list.

I have one well two questions

how did you align the inner wings and what is the new bracket on the bulkhead.

ps keep up the work its amazing progress

how hard was it to spray and would you recomend trying it as a diy

Thanks for all the kind words, it really helps with keeping going

I took plenty of measurements to ensure the inner wing was in the correct place. The new bulkhead bracket is to hold the fuel cut off switch for the injection system.

Spraying has been hard work and I've still got to flat it back and polish. If your going to do it then prep, prep, prep again and take your time as its very stressful knowing you can balls its all up at the final hurdle

cheers unfortunatly the inner wings were already missing so im going to struggle a bit getting them on

love the colour scheme very retro definatly an amazing project

always watched this thread, love the car and you've done some great work.

my sis wants her mini in that colour sceme, but aqua blue and black, there was one in combe i think that she saw.
