some nice chunks of black paint have just fallen off my cosmics :thumbsup: They're purple underneath :o :-

Looks like a job well done. Surely googling "paint aluminium aluminum" will come up with some useful info.

I wonder if there's not something you can paint on to use for masking PVA mould release might work.

Regarding the wheel centres - couldn't you cut a disc of alloy or plaggy with a suitably sized hole saw or even cast a centre in resin?

i just spoke to the guy who i bought the wheels off. he said he found the original centres for these wheels and said i could have them :thumbsup:

Result,the wheels look really good,
me and my old man put his mini on to 10" steel cooper wheels,i blasted them 1st,sanded them, then etch primered them before a couple of coats of Halfords silver and a couple of coats of lacquer.Job done they look really good and suit the mini.

lookin good mate :angry: tip for you when polishing , use fine wire wool and solvol autosol polishing cream then rub until it goes black then polish off with fine wire wool , will come up like chrome :-

right, update.

got four completly finished, and the 5th is half way throught being primered but i ran out of primer :proud:

personaly i think they look great!
