Sorry mk1leg, I still don't understand!!

Right, I just took the Little Madam for a quick test drive down the bypass & to the recycling centre with a bootful of bottles.
She's goes sucky-sucky-BBRRRRRRRRUUURRRRBLE!!!!

Round the swooping corners.......Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I bl**dy love that sound!!! If I'd known that was going to be so easy to achieve I would have done that ages ago.

Now, for my next trick, a new exhaust.......(at some point)....
PS - can someone please tell me why my temperature gauge now works?? It registers cold as well as warm & hot. What's all that about??!!!

right Juju I thought you were trying to remove lock for to paint derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrTrying to get Matilda's new door escutcheons on, but I can't get the lock out of the door. Four main screws undid fine, but no amount of wiggling will get the lock out of the door so I can get access to the crew holding the handle on. Am I missing a trick here, please?

Matilda's face:

Phase Two of Operation Squander-All-My-Hard-Earned-Readies-Before-Children-Come-Along-And-Ruin-My-Fun is about to be launched.

She's having a Stage 1 kit fitted (well, induction kit & new zorst), but the rest of the plan was:
1. Mk I 'tache & grille.
2. Bonnet straps. (Mmmm....black leather & shiny fastenings....

3. Shiny sump guard (just for show - she rides a bit higher than she used to, so clearance ain't a prob)
4. Walnut door cappings.
What do you reckon, pleasethankyou?!

LOL good choice of words...
Matilda is gorgeous!

I think a Mk1 tash and grille would look gorgeous, as would the bonnet straps, providing you keep the spotlights

As for the sump guard, it's not a massive aesthetic change nor are the door cappings so that's upto you

If you do change your grille, can I have dibs on the grille you currently have on? Evelyn's is a bit dinted and looking tired

Yeah go for it, will look nice
2. Bonnet straps. (Mmmm....black leather & shiny fastenings.... wub.gif )
Forget it, she will start looking to messy, with to many bits on her
3. Shiny sump guard (just for show - she rides a bit higher than she used to, so clearance ain't a prob)
Don't bother unless you like cooking your oil, as they can prevent the air from circulating under the gearbox, which could shorten the life of said gear box
4. Walnut door cappings.
hm yeah maybe
Now don't go playing with her to much, she is stunning as she is, plus Katie will be wanting me to put extra things on her, when I've already told her no.

With a Mk1 tache and tan leather bonnet straps she'll be almost identical to Imasonfy's Mini!

Erm, I see your point, 'cept for a few details.
