Wow I've just read this thread properly and Matilda is a pretty one isn't she! Lucky you! I'm sure she's worth all that expense just to get her back all sorted now. Happy motoring now she's all fixed!

Yes, it may well be my appalling data entry skills! I'll look back at the orginal itemised bill......

But to be honest, I don't really care if have been a leetle bit shafted here. I'm not made of money, especially at the moment, but it needed doing & my normal channel for mechanical assistance was blocked, and there are a lot more important things in my ridiculous little life to worry about, so criticise all you like!!

Matilda is a real Mini of 1959-2000 heritage and has more in connection with Alec Issigonis than BMW.

i think that 10% is is from the cost of unsiezing the rear brakes. we have 2 different labour rates for toyta and lexus but its the same showroom, staff and workshop. anyway, that could be dirt cheap that bill as it doesnt say how long it all took, everything is just a quantity of one. makes my £2500+ wood and pickett invoice seem really huge....

I'm just glad that I can effectively carry out a full service on my Mini by myself. But anything tricky like bearings and ball-joints and I have to get ripped off like everyone else too.
