Cheers.
Welding is all done & she's been stone-chipped. Couldn't be bothered to respray her belly body-coloured, since she's still got no garage to sleep in.
MOT this morning..... *bites fingernails*

Hope she passes her MOT today Ju
She just has! Ta.
I can pick her up tomorrow afternoon.
A month without driving has been odd, but I've got a hell of a lot of work done during the 3 hours of bus journey every day.

Noticed a new driveshaft on the previous year's list of parts - have you eventually got to the root of her problems down below?
I think we must have done, Mr C.
Picking her up this afternoon. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Welcome back Matilda. How long will your daily journey take now? 15 mins e/w?
Thanks Mr Pot!
Direct congested route is 15 miles (Chessington World of "Adventures" is in the way) & takes the same as the bus.
The Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! way over the Downs & via the wigglies is 18 miles & takes 40 mins* or so.......
*Providing I'm not trying to mark any students' coursework at the same time

The more it tips it down, the faster the wipers; the faster the wipers, the more water is forced through the seal & behind the dash.
(Wondered why my head unit makes all CDs skip 'til the heater's been on for 5 minutes...
I've slapped on a load of bathroom sealant, but I think she may have to have more surgery before the winter's oot.

I bought some loctite windscreen sealant from the local motor factors, I dont know how it differs from the bathroom type but it saved my mini until I could get it properly sorted.

Hmmm. I might look into that. If I remove the seal at all, then the scuttle will just flake & crumble, so running repairs are simply a case of plastering loads of stuff on top at the mo.

But now she has a distraction. I finally got round to fitting Roofless's excellent decal. Well, when I say "I", I actually mean 4 of us....

The colour's a good match for her interior. I am pleased.

Next on the list to attend to is this ickiness.....

And the scuttle, which is plastered in sealant. And these.

I cleaned 'em up best I could this morning with extra fine steel wool, but it's gonna take some power tools to sort it ploply.
