then its gone pear shaped as after getting frame in the garage i have discovered that when the car was in a crash early this year and the previous owner took it to MINIMINE for subframe replacement, they although having charged for the frame have instead cut it bent it out and welded it up >



i have got the engine out the frame myself this morning and have taken the diff off the back to check that and all seems fine, certainly no metal bits or silver paste in there and all feels tight and free moving
gearbox looks fine from looking in the diff opening, im starting to get pissed off now as i removed the shafts earlier and after getting the passenger side one out i discovered silver paste inside and little metal bits which leads me to think i was originally right in saying it was a CV joint
the question is do i strip the box of the engine now or do as i now think, all syptoms could be due to the inner CV joint?
