I've just got back after aborting at about 10:30. Never seen such a quagmire - think Minis plus Glastonbury.

Have to say staying with you guys and girls was the best laugh I've had at a mini show since Riv Run. Last nights "entertainment" shall we say was nothing more than hillarious. Great to meet people properly - charlie + admins/mods, pie, ed4ran etc, and to meet good friends again.

Hope all got out of the campsites in 1 piece! No doubt be a plethora of excellent action photos. Might just be me, but I found the stewards and marshalls to be nothing short of ignorant to the situation, and very short nerved... just a couple of little incidences this morning and upon arrival - they questioned everything. Whether it was to restrict the flow of traffic I don't know. Anyh ow glad to be back home.

Again hope all make it back safely!

Saw your knightsbridge there, looked stunning.

Never managed to find the TMF area in the end, ended up camping in the family field with my mates. Was far too muddy today to actually go and have a look around, plus my friends arn't really into Minis. Ended up leaving quite early as there was not much to do and too muddy really. Highlights were the drag racer doing 270mph and our BBQ amazingly cooking the food nicely. A bit dissapointed really but not anyones fault.

I got your texts Lisa but my phone battery was dead.

Thought it was quiet round here. Suppose they'll all be in later when they've washed the mud off their minilites ;D

Thanks matey ;D

Yeah I don't think too many people are going to be all to adventurous...especially where some of the club stands and entrances and exits are concerned. I know of a couple of the smaller stands that just quit before trade started - there was simply too much mud and wet for an open stand.

Pretty much everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Execpt the car, it performed brilliantly and didn't once skip a beat (exept my friends kept complaining about the stiff yet standard suspension every 5 minutes).

muddy in the field.

Was fun i admit in the mud after most the campers had gone but hated having to get off the site thru god knows how thick mud. And who was reving there engine at about 2.00 am?

Wasnt a mini with a rev counter on i dont think.

Traders were also dissapointing

A bit dissapointment,my first mitp and possibly last unless weather is ment to be perfect next year and there are good promises

I thought it was class lol!
Even though the rain ruined things (the mud was rather fun though haha) and the trade stands were very poor compared to most shows!
That jet car was a BEAST though! Was a shame that twin engined mini was having problems, Next year ill be taking mine down the strip hopefully. looks like a good laugh lol!

i thought it was wuite a good day considering the C**p weather. didnt get off to a good start being shortchanged £10 at the gate and then some steward getting the hump because my wheels span up, despite the 6 feet of mud (well it felt like it)

i got a few good bits tho and only spent a tenner!

got loads of videos as well, got half a video of the jet car, nearly burst my eardrums though!

Hmmm.. I'm wondering whether their change of location this year was really such a good idea - at least the park was drained off on the hills last year.

YOUR BROTHERS????? NO FLOOKING WAY!!! ;D

It was truly tragic! ....... But great fun :D

Never been off-roading before, lmao :-

The lil Mini did a top job of getting through the mud, I followed orders (second gear, low revs, DON'T STOP!) and only had to be pushed once when I had to stop behind Josh because he got stuck right by the stand ;D

Jimmy was doing a fine job of pushing us all in though :D

The rain was a downer but the atmosphere was still good because everyone was in the same situation and wanting to have fun regardless! And what the hell was going on in that gazebo?! How drunk were you all?! I thought I was bad! I got picked up and carried in to chants of "NEW PERSON! NEW PERSON!" Twas a bit scary :ermm:

My only worry was trying to get the mud off the wheels before getting back on the road, wanted to have a little bit of grip!

Also... one bit of chrome trim did decide to abandon ship just after leaving :D but luckily it was a straight bit of road where I could pull over and stick it back on (with mud!). And thanks to Sean (Farrantino), and the stranger in the non-mini, who both stopped to see if I was ok!

NEW PERSON!!! :D

WHAT'S YOUR FORUM NAME?

WHAT'S YOUR REAL NAME?

lmao!!! ;D

I would like to apologise on Charlie's behalf for manhandling people into the gazeebo for interrogation! :-

I fell over on the way back to my tent last night, then I realised I needed to pump up my air matress doofer, then I realised that it had taken me half an hour because I had left the bung out of it. Then I realised that I shouldn't drink too much brahma! :ermm:

Anyway, was nice to meet you all (I was the other big guy, the older one with shorter hair, not Nev) :D

Oh yeah, and the cheesey chips rocked!!!!
Also, how good was the Italian Job on that massive screen? When we were booing them for pushing the minis out of the back of the bus. Must've been on around midnight that bit. ;D

I would like to apologise to all TMF'ers camped near me who were woke by my little boy shouting "mummy" at the top of his voice at 6am.

Despite the bad weather, I had a really good time, amazing to see some of the work that has gone into the cars there.
There was some bloody fast ones too !
Jimmy had a few runs on the strip which was good to watch, I want to give it a go next time.

On the way home my roof trim decided to fly off at 90 mph downhill, and nearly lost it, fortunately Jimmy and Pete noticed something was up so I managed to save it ;D
And then I lost them at a roundabout due to other slow drivers.

I'll get my pics and vids from the event online as soon as I can !
