I guess I just feel comfortable with the suspension sagging heavily and both drivers side tyres rubbing on the arches. Oh and the feeling of my head rubbing on the headlining of an old carMini mad me. Why is it that us larger gentlemen seem to like buying these silly small cars?? Surley our frame should make us seek out some sort of landrover?? :nugget:

As for the comedy value, it's well funny when I get out of a mini and stand up straight, at 6'6" I sure get some looks!!!!

Then the missus decided we should go out and do something so an abrubt stop to the work! :nugget:
Sunday Pete came over and we fitted the second door card and then got stuck into getting the bonnet fitted........ Thats where it all started going wrong!!!!!
We decided to hinge the bonnet at the front to save having to take it of everytime we wanted to fill it up with fuel (a wise idea I'm sure you'll all agree) so out we went and bought some hinges and with a bit of gigggery pokery soon had them lined up and then fibreglassed them to the bonnet.........
Then re-fit the bonnet to discover it's sittting about an inch to high :nugget: Take bonnet off cut hinges off bonnet (with an angle grinder!!!!) refit the hinges........
re-fit the bonnet still sitting to high and now won't open very far!!!

So of out to buy some different hinges hoping they'll work better....... fit those decide they need extensive modifing to fit spend whats left of the day cutting and welding two different types of hinges to make them work

It is worth it after all the work the one bad point is that we managed to put a small scratch on the bonnet :nugget:

Any hoo here it is in all it's splendor
