Might be a good idea to put some heat shield around the petrol tank, as that heating device in front of it may warm the fuel..... I have some realy good heat reflectant material in the garage, you can have it free, as long as I can fitt it.....
Now what's the technical name for it.. :gimme: Oh yes that's right it's call Pb3... :P  :P

I was looking into heat reflective material! I'm after some for the bulkhead between me and the engine! Desperate attempt at stopping the cab getting too hot! :nugget: And if it's free and you want to fit it....... I suppose you could twist my arm

Have you thought about "powermat"? It's an aluminised glass cloth capable of withstanding up to 550 degC, and reflects 90% of radiant heat. You can get it in the following sizes 250x500mm, 500x500mm, and 1000x1000mm from Rally Design (01795 531871). The 250x500 is £5.50. The 500x500 is £9.50, and the 1000x1000 is £28.50, so it aint cheap, but it's made for the job.

I'm using it anyway, along with "powerap" around the manifold.

by the way, where did you get those fantastic wheel arch extensions from? I've just GOT to get me some of those! (if you don't mind me "copying"!)

No problem.....Bring it round, only problem I've been told by those in the Know that PB3 is a bit heavy... I have 200 kgs of the stuff, I'm so generus you can have the lot.... What I don't use round the Fuel Tank I can mount in the Roof... That should raise the C of G......

If only Mutley and the vulture squadron would finish it for me.....

Despite the car having been dry-built, it is now in a completely stripped state as I have my deadline for the paintshop of the 12th of Sept, so there's not much to see at the mo' - especially considering the 11 months of toil!

However, I have attached an image taken this very evening. The bluish blob lurking on the floor behind the palet (I mean jack) is yours truly sanding feverishly!....

Right, I'm off to catch the pigeon

Without risking hijacking this thread, here's another piccy taken ages ago. Unfortunately I had major laptop failure a couple of months back, and had to resort to wiping my hard drive, so I lost all of the more recent pictures. So much has changed since then...

Anyway, that's it for now as none of the pictures do any justice to the time spent on the car. I'll start a thread when the car's back from paint, and (hopefully) looking good.

Not quiet Jammy.... After the few bits I did Tuesday evening I haven't been back into the garage. I didn't get home from work till 8.15 last night so by the time I'd had some dinner was a bit late :nugget:

Am hoping to get some more done tonight though! I'm trying to get niggley little jobs done in the week so we can concentrate on the big bits at the weekend! :gimme:
