you must be quite literally wetting yourself with excitement!

i know i would if that was sat in my garage.... infact, id probably wet myself just at the thought of having a garage! mini lives in the rain :w00t:

Yeah I really can't wait!! But as is always the way the few jobs that are left suddenly make way for little jobs you'd forgotten about and you find yourself missing the dates your hoping to meet... :fear:

But I have always said I will not rush it and make a mess of it just to get it finished sooner. So here's hoping! :nugget:

Ok slowly but surely edging towards completion.....

Todays jobs..

Rear window vents fitted to windows.
Rear windows fitted.
Front shocks removed and shock mount bolts modified to allow clearance when shocks moving.
Brakes blead all round (again)!
New studs fitted on the rear as some got a little chewed.
Bonnet removed and fibreglass added around the hinges to strengthen it further.
Speed sensor mount fitted along with speed sensor.
Chain tensioned.
Front windows fitted (without vents) these are left on the to do list!
Rear window abandoned as too scratched!! (even after polishing they didn't come up as I'd like! Thanks for the loan of the polishing kit Tarks) added to list of things to aquire this week!!
Most of wiring under the bonnet modified to go inside the car tidier fuel tank area!
Towing eye fitted at the front.
Fitted additional trim to bulkhead.
One of the wing mirrors removed and tightened.

So a good day all in all. Stil things left to do though!! Good news is the list is getting smaller!!

To do list

Aquire window slide kit for front windows
Aquire perspex rear window
Aquire cable tidies and tidy cable at the rear of the car.
Aquire in window trim.
Aquire harness eyelet retaining nuts
Fit rear window and number plate and lights.
Fit window slide kits
Install vent piping
Install harnesses
Final fit bulkhead
Final fit seats
Stanp chassis plate
Refit oil pressure sender
Check clutch adjustment.

Then................ :fear:

ROAD TEST AND MOT!!!!!!!

..........Aquire harness eyelet retaining nuts............

What sort of eye nuts do you need? I may have some stainless ones at work that would do the job, could :fear: 'aquire' them for you! I guess they'll be like an M10 or something????

I'll go have a look in the workshop if you let me know the size! But don't tell me boss!

Lol I'm not sure what thread they are to be honest. They went straight into the original seat belt mounting places in the bodyshell. but there aren't any point in the exhaust tunnel for the "inner" mounting points.

I believe they're supposed to be a nut welded to a plate of steel to spread the load....... I think they're fairly standard in the industry but thanks anyway

I got some of those mounting plates and nuts from DSN, very useful, made fitting my harnesses really simple.
