I guess if it had dropped over the carb inlet it could have been restricting the airflow?

Your guess is as good as mine, minis are an odd thing they fix theself. If only the could weld them self. Been out for a spin again gets up to 5500 revs no probs, obviously still needs to be fixed proper. so off to minispares to find them bolts
