Can I ask, are you going to be tweaking the engine in any way while your rebuilding it over the winter?

What else are you changing to CF?

Just wondered if you were rebuilding it or owt.

What cage you planning to use?

I've had good experiances with Saftey devices bolt in cages, you can also weld them in too if need be

im in two minds about a cage, one because i use the car on tracks alot and good protection but on the other hand they affect the resell value of the car

On something such as your mini, I wouldnt imagine it would affect it to much, seeing as its a fast road mini, shwon in the seats and engine etc, its deffinatley there on a pracitical basis. If I had a track mini, itd be the first thing I'd fit!

I'm going to be putting a cage in mine in a few years. Need the NCB first to keep the insurance reasonable.

Puddings i feel you need a cage lol.

It is a bloody quick motor, as demonstrated in the video of marksmini screaming "OH MY GOD WE'VE JUST OVERTAKEN A 911 TURBO!!!" lmao, love that video.
And seeing as you love the Ring, no the NURBURGRING you filty people lol, youll have a bit more protection if god forbid some idiot spills oil and them shexy force racing splittys skids on it.

the slam panel had a clean cut no tearing or rust so not got a clue about that

The flip front is being delivered from curly next week, then the car needs a new scuttle panel, door skins, A panels and sills so dave (the panel beater) will prob sort those bits out before getting on with the flip front.

need to do some maths to work out if i can afford the cage with all the other bits that need doing

going hunting at bingley hall on the 27th for bits that might be useful, i will be wearing my BH2N t-shirt if you see me say hi

Well been down helping with my car today i was stripping all the doors down and all the other boring jobs while dave (bodyshop man) was beating my car with a coal chisel, did not take him long to have the front off

Attached File  ABCD0016.JPG   80.17K   42 downloads

This then allowed as to poke around with the rust finder (screwdriver) which turned up some tin worm :D

Attached File  ABCD0015.JPG   69.11K   23 downloads

Attached File  ABCD0014.JPG   68.18K   15 downloads

only this little hoe in the bottom of the passenger side inner wing, also the body filler put on when nre by rover had got wet on the slam panels which had turned them to dust :D

just a quick question what is this for (the box thing) and can i get rid of it?
