If the tattoo convention is still on I would love a trip down to it so if anyone at all has any details let me know! I was disappointed to think that there wasn't going to be one this year so that's made my day if it's all going ahead.

If they've cancelled it they've kept it very quiet I've been on the website on the last few days and there is nothing to suggest it isn't going ahead, I just Googled it as well (has nobody else tried this lol) and nothing about it being cancelled anywhere as far as I can see!

It's at a new venue, that's the only thing that's changed... It's now at Tobacco Dock, 26-28 September

I hope to be there with lemming, I've got 4 pretty generic tattoos and he has one unique one (back about 10 pages!)

It's my surname in chinese (no I didn't get it done just in case I forget what it is! ) Got it done because I'm proud of my heritage and my family, so it's a vague homage to that and them

This is my chinese name in full, starts with the surname on the left by the way.


I was also going to get the last part of my chinese name done somewhere else but without shading this time but I never got round to it and I'm not sure if I want another tattoo...might get it done at some later stage, I'll go for it quite small though if I do.

Think that is a really nice tattoo, and good to see that you have done it all for the right reasons aswell. Its good to see that you are proud of your heritage, as a friend of mine is chinese and it doesnt mean anything to him! when i think that everyone so have some respect and morales from there upbringing, background and heritage.

i like the nautical star in the middle but the rest im not to keen on, but if you like it you should get it mate

ive decided im definitely going to get the gatecrasher lion tatoo i posted ages ago. dont know whether to get it on the upper arm or on my neck though. def want it though

Um, putting this nicely....if someone saw my tattoos and decided they wanted it on them, I would be pretty hacked off!!!!!!!
Tattoos should be an expression of you, your thoughts, your life experiences. Essentially, something meanigful.

Sure, take influence from other people, but if you cant come up with something yourself, you probably shouldn't be getting tattooed. I know its a cliche, but what are you going to feel about it in 20 years time, or even 10?? I'm quite content in the knowledge that I spent over a year planning each of my tattoos and they symbolise important parts of my life that I will never regret!!

That's brilliant that the convention is on still...just that I went one the other week and it said it was the only one in the country this year and my tattooist had planned to go to some and then was disappointed to know that he couldn't cus of all this fuss but it was a while since I last spoke to him. Made my day that news has so thanks for the info Was going to check it out on google but my internet is playing up apart from the mini forum which is v strange
